Flow Diagram Copper Smelting Pollution. The flow diagram below shows how the percentage of copper increases as the ore is refined first physically by froth flotation then chemically by smelting and finally electrolytic refining the smelting stage gives the name pyroprocessing processing by fire courtesy of xstrata the smelter for sulfide ores produces sulfur dioxide gas
2013. 7. 12.· The Smelting of Copper The first written account of the processes of smelting and refining of copper is to be found in the 12th century.1 On smelting: Copper is engendered in the earth. When a vein of which is found, it is acquired with the greatest labour by digging and breaking. It is a stone of
2021. 4. 17.· This flowchart made of machinery icons explains or expresses in simple but clear terms the step of the Copper Mining and Copper Extraction Process. Starting from either open-pit or underground mining and using a different relevant treatment method for oxide or sulphide copper mineral (ore).
2021. 4. 17.· Modern copper smelters use processed copper ore fed into a flash furnace, typically fired by oxygen which produces blister copper, being further processed in a converter furnace. Molten copper is poured from here into rectangular moulds, the resulting ingots subjected to electrolysis producing a metal of 99.9% purity.
The matte produced by the flash smelting furnace is transferred to the Converter furnace. Oxygen-enriched air is blown into the Converter furnace to oxidize the matte further to create blister copper with a grade of approximately 99%. Reaction in the converter Cu 2 S・FeS + SiO 2 + O 2 → Cu + 2FeO・SiO 2 + SO 2 + Reaction heat

1996. 11. 20.· Figure 6-2.—Early Smelting Technology Charcoal ore flux \ m The Egyptian copper smelting furnace was filled with a mixture of copper ore, charcoal and iron ore to act as a flux. It was blown for several hours by foot or hand bellows. By the end of the smelt the copper had separated from the slag, which was tapped off.
2021. 4. 17.· A simplified schematic drawing of copper flotation flowsheet. Run-of-mine open pit ore will be crushed in a gyratory crusher. The crushed ore will be processed by means of semi-autogenous and ball mill grinding followed by rougher flotation, regrind, cleaner flotation, and dewatering to produce copper concentrate.
